Tamieka Briscoe, is a screenwriter, podcaster, author, producer and director from Washington D.C. Her works include a digital series, QT—a project she wrote, produced and directed remotely during the spring of 2020 while in quarantine, QT: Second Shot, a 2021 spin-off of the original series. A Christmas fanatic, in 2022, Tamieka wrote and directed her first holiday short film, Charity.
Before moving to Los Angeles to launch her television and film career, Tamieka wrote and published her debut novel, Like a Moth to a Flame, along with numerous blogs and essays on love, dating and relationships for various media platforms. Her articles have been featured in publications such as The Baltimore Sun and The Gazette. While writing fiction and blogging have always been her passion, in 2013, Tamieka added documentary filmmaking to her repertoire with The Single Life: Dual Perspectives on Modern Dating. A true connoisseur of all things media, she also hosts her own pop-up podcast, Talkin’ with T.B. where she and featured guests discuss dating and relationships.
Tamieka holds a bachelor’s degree in Communications from Bowie State University, and went on to earn a master’s degree in Journalism from the University of Maryland. She is currently based in Los Angeles, where in addition to writing and producing film and television shows both independently and for Hollywood, she is a creative consultant, who helps clients get their filmmaking projects off the ground. She is currently in production of the feature film SPAWNS, the next installment of QT.
Tamieka is a member of the Television Academy and an award-winning filmmaker. She is the proud mother of two creatives.
